Nice, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Bordeaux maintained its perfect start to the Ligue 1 season on Saturday after rolling to a 3-1 victory over Nice at the Stade Municipal du Ray.
Bordeaux got off to a poor start away from home as Nice struck for the opener after just 11 minutes through Alexy Bosetti. But the visiting side drew level in the 33rd minute through a penalty conversion from Cheick Diabate.
The visiting side then grabbed the lead two minutes into the second half when Nicolas Maurice-Belay found the back of the net.
Nine minutes later Bordeaux sealed the result with another tally from Gregory Sertic to make it a two-goal advantage. Diabate was shown a second yellow card eight minutes from time, but Nice couldn't mount any kind of offensive charge down the stretch.
Bordeaux remains atop the Ligue 1 table with nine points, while Nice stays in fourth place with four points.
Also in Ligue 1 on Saturday, Andre-Pierre Gignac netted the only goal of the contest to hand Marseille its first win of the season with a 1-0 result over Guingamp at the Stade du Roudourou.
Ryad Boudebouz netted the only goal of the contest for Bastia in a 1-0 win over Toulouse, while goals from Jonathan Delaplace and Simon Kjaer helped Lille claim a 2-0 win over Lorient.
Siaka Tiene and Souleymane Camara netted goals to lift Montpellier to a 2-0 result against newly-promoted Metz, while Ngolo Kante and Herve Bazile carried Caen to a 2-0 victory against Reims at the Stade Auguste Delaune II.
