New Haven, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Unseeded Slovak Magdalena Rybarikova secured a berth in Saturday's final at the Connecticut Open tennis event, a final tune-up for the U.S. Open.

Rybarikova subdued Italian Camila Giorgi 6-2, 6-4 on the hardcourts at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale.

The other finalist will be second-seeded Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova or unseeded former U.S. Open winner Samantha Stosur. Kvitova was the 2012 New Haven titlist and last year's runner-up to Simona Halep, this week's top seed who lost to Rybarikova on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Rybarikova will appear in her sixth career final, seeking a fifth title. This will mark her first final of 2014.

Saturday's champion will collect $120,000.
