Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday recalled shortstop Erisbel Arruebarrena from Triple-A Albuquerque and optioned infielder Carlos Triunfel to their primary farm club.
Arruebarrena finished a rehab stint in rookie ball by going 4-for-11 with two doubles, two home runs and four RBI while batting .333.
In eight games over two call-ups to the majors this season, the native of Cuba has collected two runs batted in and hit .313 (5-for-16).
Triunfel, who was recalled from Albuquerque this past Saturday, was a pinch- hitter in his lone appearance with the Dodgers on Sunday.
