Indianapolis 500 winner Ryan Hunter-Reay is sticking with Andretti Autosport.

The team owned by Michael Andretti has signed Hunter-Reay to a three-year contract extension. The 2012 IndyCar series champion became the first American in eight years to win at Indy following his victory at the Brickyard in May.

Hunter-Reay has been with Andretti since 2010. He last signed an extension in 2012.

DHL also announced it would remain the primary sponsor of Hunter-Reay's No. 28 car another three years.

The announcement was made before Sunday's race at the Milwaukee Mile, where he is starting 19th. He has won the previous two years at the oval.

Hunter-Reay is third in the driver standings behind pole-sitter Will Power and Helio Castroneves.
