Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Dustin Pedroia went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored as the Boston Red Sox grabbed a 9-4 win over the Houston Astros in the opener of a four-game set.

David Ortiz had two hits and drove in a run for the Red Sox, who have won four straight. Allen Webster (3-1) gave up four runs -- three earned -- on five hits with three walks over six innings to earn the win.

"We came to life," Boston manager John Farrell said. "We were able to combine some base on balls with some hits. It's good to see us break out. We had a really good offensive night."

Matt Dominguez hit a two-run home run for the Astros, who have lost four of five. Scott Feldman (6-9) allowed seven runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Houston got the first run of the game in the second inning as Dexter Fowler scored when Mike Napoli misplayed a Jonathan Singleton grounder.

In the third, Marwin Gonzalez doubled and Robbie Grossman followed with a run- scoring single for a 2-0 lead.

Dominguez's home run in the fourth followed Singleton's walk for a 4-0 advantage.

Boston got one back in the fourth as singles from Pedroia and Ortiz put runners on the corners before Yoenis Cespedes hit into a double play to make it a 4-1 game.

Boston took control of the game in the sixth and got the first run across on an Ortiz run-scoring single. Two batters later, Mike Napoli singled home a run and Daniel Nava walked to load the bases before Will Middlebrooks singled home another run.

Darin Downs then took over on the mound and walked Jackie Bradley to force in a run, and Christian Vazquez plated another with a sacrifice fly. Pedroia's two-run double off of Michael Foltynewicz made it an 8-4 game.

"They just continued to find holes and continued to keep the line moving," Houston manager Bo Porter said of the sixth inning.

Brock Holt's RBI single in the eighth capped the scoring in the game.
