Two weeks into training camp, the Pittsburgh Steelers remain very much a work in progress.

The first-string defense gave up a 73-yard touchdown run during its brief night of work in Saturday's 20-16 loss to the New York Giants. The offensive starters moved the ball but failed to score a touchdown before giving way to backups.

Still, there were some bright spots. Second-year linebacker Jarvis Jones sacked New York's Eli Manning. Rookie running back/wide receiver Dri Archer zipped 46 yards on a pass from Ben Roethlisberger and rookie linebacker Howard Jones scooped up a New York fumble and raced for a late touchdown.

The Steelers host Buffalo in their preseason home opener next Saturday.
