Inverness opens SPL season with defeat of Hamilton

Hamilton, Scotland ( - Inverness opened the Scottish Premier League season with a 2-0 defeat of newly-promoted Hamilton at New Douglas Park on Saturday.

Motherwell also made a winning start to the new campaign as Lee Erwin struck in the 64th minute at Fir Park to give the club a 1-0 victory over St. Mirren.
