Tigers' Sanchez leaves early

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Detroit Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez exited Friday's game against the Blue Jays with an apparent injury.

In the fifth inning, Sanchez appeared to injure his right side when he threw over to first base trying to keep Munenori Kawasaki close to the bag.

The right-hander grimaced and was stretching out his shoulder and back. After a brief visit from the team trainer, Blaine Hardy replaced him on the mound.

Before leaving, Sanchez allowed four runs -- three earned -- on 10 hits.
