Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Liberty posted an 83-76 victory over Atlanta, spoiling Dream head coach Michael Cooper's return to the bench.

Cooper rejoined the Dream in a limited role for Sunday's game at Philips Arena, 10 days after he underwent surgery for tongue cancer.

Atlanta, however, suffered its fifth loss in seven games because of its inability to stop Tina Charles.

The Liberty center had 29 points and 14 rebounds, while Anna Cruz added 18 points and five assists.

Angel McCoughtry finished with 28 points and five steals for the Eastern Conference-leading Dream, who clinched a playoff berth when Indiana lost to Phoenix Saturday night.
