Colts coach Chuck Pagano is losing patience with his injured veterans.

After spending the first week of training camp defending his players, Pagano told reporters Wednesday it was time for them to get on the field and start "playing football."

Nobody has more at stake than running back Trent Richardson, who failed to meet expectations after Indianapolis traded a first-round pick to Cleveland to get him.

With Vick Ballard out for the year, Ahmad Bradshaw is trying to come back from a neck injury with no other proven NFL running backs at camp.

If Richardson can prove he knows the offense and has his timing down, he'll likely be the starter. But Richardson hasn't practiced since the pads went on late last week.
