For Jets rookie TE Jace Amaro, going from college to pros like 'speaking Chinese to English'

New York Jets rookie tight end Jace Amaro is confident he will be able to bounce back from what has so far been a rocky start to training camp.

The second-round draft pick has missed some time with tendinitis in his right knee, and been prone to mistakes at times when he has practiced. Amaro says the transition from learning the offense at Texas Tech to the pros is like "speaking Chinese to English."

A lot is expected of the 6-foot-5, 265-pound Amaro, who had 106 catches and seven touchdowns last season in Texas Tech's uptempo Air Raid offense. After a mix-up during practice Wednesday, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg yelled at Amaro to get in the playbook.

Amaro says he just needs to get more comfortable, and believes that will be soon.
