Baku, Azerbaijan (SportsNetwork.com) - Elina Svitolina of Ukraine successfully defended her title at the Baku Cup with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) triumph over Serbian Bojana Jovanovski Sunday.

The second-seeded Svitolina, who captured her second career championship, breezed through the first set in 22 minutes. Although the second set was much tougher, she won the first four points of tie tiebreaker and finally closed out Jovanovski on Centre Court.

The was just the second career final for the 19-year-old Svitolina, who claimed the $43,000 first-place prize. She is the first teenager to win multiple WTA titles since Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who actually captured three as a teenager (Monterrey and Istanbul in 2010 and Monterrey in 2011).

The 22-year-old Jovanovski captured her first crown at this event in 2012. She also won a tournament in Tashkent last year.
