Rex Ryan says it's time for the New York Jets to improve as a team as they prepare for the start of training camp practices.
The coach says he feels "incredible" about his team Wednesday as his players checked into the SUNY Cortland dormitory, but adds that "talking won't get it done."
Ryan adds that second-year quarterback Geno Smith is "head and shoulders above" where he was at this time last year. With Michael Vick also in camp, Ryan says this is the best the Jets' quarterback situation has been since he became coach.
Running back Chris Johnson says he has been cleared for football activities by Dr. James Andrews after undergoing offseason knee surgery.
