Rosemont, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Epiphanny Prince's layup with 21.3 seconds left put Chicago ahead to stay and the Sky beat the Indiana Fever, 60-57, Tuesday night.
Sylvia Fowles supplied 21 points with 10 rebounds. Prince, who netted 13 points, was the only other player to score in double figures for Chicago, which shot 16-of-17 from the free throw line.
Tamika Catchings and Marissa Coleman each provided 11 points in the setback.
The Sky limited Indiana to 2-for-13 shooting in the second quarter to grab a 29-20 lead at the break. The hosts led by six late in the third when Karima Christmas knocked down a 3-pointer to make it a one-possession game heading into the fourth.
Coleman tied the game at 55-55 with 38.5 seconds remaining in the game and Prince answered at the other end with a layup to help Chicago regain the lead.
Erlana Larkins and Jamierra Faulkner each split a pair of free throws before Catchings was fouled with 4.1 seconds left. However, Catchings also split the pair at the line and Allie Quigley converted both of her tries from the stripe.
Fowles picked off a poor pass from Catchings to seal the outcome.
