Dunga confirmed as Brazil coach

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ( - Dunga has been appointed as the new coach of Brazil's national team, it was confirmed Tuesday.

The 50-year-old previously managed Brazil in a four-year stint that concluded with the team's elimination in the quarterfinals of the 2010 World Cup. During Dunga's tenure, the Selecao claimed the Copa America title in 2007 as well as the Confederations Cup in 2009.

Dunga, who captained Brazil to the World Cup title in 1994, takes over for Luiz Felipe Scolari following his resignation last week.
