Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins reinstated infielder Danny Santana from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Santana, sidelined since June 25 by a bone bruise in his left knee, just completed a rehab assignment with Class A Fort Myers in which he went 0-for-11 at the plate in three games.
The rookie hit well with the Twins following his callup in early May, however, amassing a .328 average with two home runs, 16 RBI and six stolen bases over 37 games while logging starts at both shortstop and center field.
Outfielder Chris Herrmann was optioned to Triple-A Rochester to make room on the active roster.
