Thunder Bay, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Wes Homan and Greg Eason fired matching 7-under 65s on Friday and they share the lead after two rounds of the Staal Foundation Open.

Homan and Eason finished 36 holes at Whitewater Golf Club at 12-under-par 132. They are both seeking their first career win on the PGA Tour Canada.

Joshua Stone (70) is alone in third place at 9-under, while The Players Cup champion Timothy Madigan (71) and Blake Snyder (65) are tied for fourth at minus-8.

Two-time winner this season Joel Dahmen (69), Ryan Brehm (69) and Ted Brown (67) occupied sixth at 7-under 137.

First-round leader Brandon Harkins carded an 8-over 80 during his second round and missed the cut by a stroke at even-par 144.

Homan opened his round on fire with four straight birdies to race to 9-under. He added another gain at the seventh to make the turn at minus-10.

He then followed an eagle at the 12th with a birdie at the 13th to reach 13- under, but bogeyed the 15th to fall back to 12-under and parred his final three holes to end there.

Eason opened his bogey-free round with a par at the first before rolling in a birdie at the second. After parring the next three holes, he converted three birdies in a 4-hole stretch from the sixth to reach 9-under.

He then recorded birdies at the 10th, 14th and 18th during an inward 33 to earn his share of the lead.

NOTES: Devin Carrey recorded a hole-in-one at the 15th ... Eason's best finish during his rookie season was a tie for fifth at the Syncrude Boreal Open ... Homan has missed the cut in three of his six starts this season ... The cut line fell at 1-under 143, with 62 players advancing to the weekend.
