San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs made it official Tuesday and re-signed forward Boris Diaw to an undisclosed contract.
Diaw had revealed on Twitter last week that he was set to stay with the NBA champions "for a few more years."
Yahoo Sports had reported the deal to be worth $22.5 million over three years.
Diaw averaged 9.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 79 games with the Spurs during the regular season, then contributed 9.2 points with 4.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 23 playoff games to help San Antonio to its fifth NBA title.
The 32-year-old French native first joined the Spurs in March 2012. He has appeared in 174 games with the club and has averaged 7.2 points with 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
Diaw was originally selected by Atlanta with the 21st overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft and also played for Phoenix and Charlotte before joining San Antonio. He owns career averages of 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 834 NBA games, and was the 2006 Most Improved Player with the Suns.
