Report: Suns acquire Thomas from Kings

Phoenix, AZ ( - The Phoenix Suns have reportedly acquired point guard Isaiah Thomas from the Sacramento Kings in a sign-and-trade deal.

According to several media sources, including the Sacramento Bee, the Kings will receive a $7 million trade exception along with the draft rights to power forward Alex Oriakhi. He was a second-round selection of the Suns in 2013.

The 25-year-old Thomas, who was a restricted free agent, averaged 20.3 points, 6.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 72 contests last season. He started 54 games.

"God is great!!! I'm excited for what the future holds here in Phoenix. Proud 2 be apart of the @Suns organization!," Thomas said via Twitter.

Thomas became expendable for the Kings when they reportedly agreed to a three- year, $16 million fully guaranteed deal with Darren Collision. That contract has yet to become official.

Oriakhi played in France and Israel last season and then spent time in the NBA's Development League where he averaged 7.2 points and 6.2 rebounds in 43 contests.
