Indy 500 rookie Sage Karam waits for next open wheel start; lands sports car ride at the Glen

Indianapolis 500 rookie Sage Karam has been added to the Tudor United SportsCar Championship driver lineup for the June 29 Six Hours of the Glen.

Karam will join Scott Pruett and Memor Rojas in the No. 01 car driving for Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates. Karam also drove for Ganassi at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring.

The 19-year-old Karam made a splash in May when he finished ninth in his IndyCar Series debut at the Indianapolis 500. The recent high school graduate and reigning Indy Lights Champion qualified 31st at the Brickyard.

The No. 01 car has won two of the five races of the Tudor United SportsCar season.
