Russia and South Korea barely created a clear-cut chance as their listless Group H match in the World Cup remained 0-0 at halftime in Cuiaba on Tuesday.

A stinging, long-range free kick by Sergei Ignashevich was Russia's best opportunity but it was easily palmed away by South Korea goalkeeper Jung Sung-ryong.

The closest the South Koreans came to scoring was from a deflected 25-meter shot by Koo Ja-cheol that span wide of the post. Son Heung-min also blazed an effort over the crossbar in the 39th.

To mark their disappointment with the slow-paced nature of the game, the large contingent of Brazilian fans in the crowd started slow hand clapping midway through the first half.
