Monaco parts ways with Ranieri

Fontvieille, Monaco (SportsNetwork.com) - AS Monaco announced Tuesday that it has parted company with manager Claudio Ranieri.

The 62-year-old helped Monaco gain promotion to the French top flight by guiding the club to a Ligue 2 title in 2013.

Monaco's second-place finish this term was not enough to save Ranieri, who had one year remaining on his contract.
