Greer, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyle Reifers fired an 8-under 64 on Friday and moved into a share of the lead with Trevor Murphy after two rounds of the BMW Charity Pro-Am.

Murphy carded a 6-under 66 as he and Reifers ended 36 holes at 13-under-par 132. They both played the par-72 Green Valley Country Club on Friday. Both will move to the host course, the par-71 Thornblade Club, for round three on Saturday.

Kelly Kraft posted a 5-under 67 at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. He stands alongside Ryan Blaum, who shot 66 at Green Valley, at minus-11.

Peter Tomasulo fired an 9-under 63 at Green Valley to soar into a tie for fifth at minus-10. He was joined there by Skip Kendall (68), Max Homa (65), Cliff Kresge (68), Brett Lederer (67), Blayne Barber (70) and Mark Hubbard (67), who all played the Thornblade Club in round two.

Reifers got off to a quick start from the 10th at Green Valley as he birdied his first two holes. He then ran off three straight birdies from the 14th to jump to minus-9.

The 2006 Chattanooga Classic winner stumbled to a bogey on the 17th, but quickly erased that mistake with a birdie at No. 18. Reifers made it two in a row as he also birdied the first.

"I got back on the gas after that bogey, which really helped," Reifers admitted.

After four pars in a row, Reifers birdied the par-5 sixth. He closed with a birdie on the ninth to share the second-round lead.

Murphy got going with a birdie on the second. After back-to-back birdies at five and six, he tripped to a bogey on the eighth to slip back to minus-8.

Around the turn, Murphy birdied the 11th. He drained three consecutive birdie chances from the 14th to jump into a share of the lead. Murphy parred the final two holes to end there.

"The save on No. 8 was big. It kept my momentum going," said Murphy, who made a 10-foot putt for bogey on the eighth and had a 25-footer for birdie on 18 lip out. "It all evens out. You make a few, you miss a few. Murphy's Law, right?"
