Lisbon, Portugal (SportsNetwork.com) - Sporting Lisbon closed out its Portuguese Liga campaign with its first home defeat of the season, losing 1-0 to Estoril.

Sporting entered the match having already secured second place behind champions Benfica, but after a 1-1 draw with Nacional last time out, the home side finished its season with a loss thanks to a fifth-minute penalty kick from Evandro.

The defeat is the first at home for Sporting since February 2013, and leaves the club seven points back of Benfica, which closed its title-winning campaign with a 2-1 defeat to FC Porto thanks to a 39th-minute penalty kick from Jackson Martinez, who finished as the league's leading scorer with 20 goals.

Estoril had already been assured of finishing in fourth place prior to the win over Sporting, and the team will enter Europa League qualifying in the playoff stage.

At the other end of the table, Pacos Ferreira was relegated following a 4-2 defeat to Academica, which got two goals apiece from Moussa Gueye and Salvador Agra to overcome a brace from Ferreira's Bebe.

Olhanense lost 3-1 at Setubal, but the club will still have a chance at survival in the relegation playoff, while Belenenses finished four points clear of Olhanense after beating Arouca, 1-0, behind Deyverson's 87th-minute goal.

Tiago Rodrigues scored in the 56th minute to hand Guimaraes a 1-0 victory over Braga, Maritimo downed Rio Ave, 1-0, through Derley's 83rd-minute tally, and Diogo Viana scored from the penalty spot in the first half to lift Gil Vicente to a 1-0 triumph over Nacional.
