Paris, France (SportsNetwork.com) - PSG secured its second straight Ligue 1 title on Wednesday despite losing 2-1 to Rennes at the Parc des Princes.

Monaco needed to beat Guingamp earlier in the day to keep the title race alive, and the club took a 1-0 lead in the 77th minute through Dimitar Berbatov.

But Guingamp handed the title to PSG in the 85th minute when Fatih Atik got on the other end of Mustapha Yatabare's cross and beat Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic at his near post.

With the title having already been secured, PSG took an early lead through Ezequiel Lavezzi, who got behind the defense and fired home his eighth goal of the season.

Rennes equalized in the 23rd minute through Foued Kadir as he redirected Abdoulaye Doucoure's cross past goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, while Paul- Georges Ntep scored four minutes later from a free kick for Rennes to provide the difference.
