Trailing by two games in this Western Conference semifinal against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Minnesota Wild were in same position just two weeks ago.

They lost the first two games at Colorado before rebounding at home to tie that series against the Avalanche and eventually win that round in seven games.

Over that two-week span, though, the Blackhawks are unbeaten. The Wild have not controlled the pace or generated chances to score like they did in those first two games at Colorado. They were outscored 9-3 by Chicago.

This is a stronger Wild team than the one that lost in the first round to the Blackhawks last year in five games. But they've yet to prove they can compete with the defending Stanley Cup champions in the postseason.
