Madrid, Spain (SportsNetwork.com) - Cristiano Ronaldo's goal in stoppage time helped Real Madrid claim a 2-2 draw at home against Valencia on Sunday as the top three teams in La Liga all dropped points this weekend.

Leaders Atletico Madrid lost 2-0 at Levante earlier in the day, which followed a 2-2 draw for Barcelona against Getafe on Saturday.

Those results leave Atletico three points clear of second-place Barcelona, while Real is five points back but has a game in hand and can move into second place and within two points of its city rival with a win over relegation- battling Valladolid on Wednesday.

Jeremy Mathieu handed Valencia the advantage just before halftime when he headed home a corner kick after Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez did well to parry a shot from Sofiane Feghouli.

Ronaldo helped set up the equalizer in the 59th minute with a flicked header that was turned in by Sergio Ramos, only for Valencia to seize the lead right back six minutes later.

A deflected cross fell nicely into the path of Daniel Parejo and he drove a shot past Lopez to dent Madrid's title hopes.

But after being denied a few times by Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves, Ronaldo finally found the net in stoppage time when he redirected a cross from Angel Di Maria over the line from a few yards to set up a dramatic final two weeks in Spain.

Atletico suffered its fourth defeat of the season as Levante went in front after only the seventh minute due to a Filipe Luis own goal before David Barral scored 20 minutes from time.

Almeria climbed out of the bottom three after scoring two goals in the last 13 minutes with 10 men to secure a 3-2 win over last-place Real Betis, which has already been relegated.

The other match in Spain on Sunday ended in a 0-0 draw between Sevilla and Villarreal.
