Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Meena Lee fired a 7-under 64 on Friday to move into a share of the lead after two rounds of the North Texas LPGA Shootout.

Lee finished 36 holes at 8-under-par 134 and was joined there by Caroline Masson, who shot 67 for the second day in a row. Masson was one of five first- round co-leaders at Las Colinas Country Club.

Stacy Lewis matched Lee's 64 and she jumped into a tie for third at minus-7. Lewis was joined there by Natalie Gulbis, who carded a 65 on Friday.

Christina Kim shot 2-under 69 in round two and remained alone in fifth place at 6-under 136. Cristie Kerr (70), Suzann Pettersen (71), Dori Carter (70), Julieta Granada (66) and Dewi Claire Schreefel (66) share sixth place at minus-5.

Women's world No. 1 and defending champion Inbee Park carded a 3-under 68 on Friday and is tied for 20th at minus-3.

Lee, who has two LPGA Tour wins to her credit, opened with an eagle on the 10th. She stumbled to a bogey at the par-3 11th and followed with back-to-back birdies at 12 and 13.

The 32-year-old Korean faltered to another bogey on the 14th, but answered with three straight birdies from the 15th. Lee closed her roller coaster first nine with a bogey at the 18th.

Lee parred the first, then poured in three straight birdie tries from the third to soar to 8-under. Lee closed her round with four pars in a row.

"Well, I made eagle (on 10), so I started very good. And then my putting was really good. I had a lot of birdies today," Lee stated. "Everything, the shot was good and the putting was working, so everything was on my side on the front nine."

Masson converted back-to-back birdies at two and three before making four straight pars. She tripped to a bogey on the eighth, but atoned for that mistake with a birdie on No. 10.

The German made it two in a row as she also birdied the 11th. After six consecutive pars, Masson birdied the par-5 18th to close out her round and grab a share of the lead.

"I started off well again, made some birdies, maybe didn't play as good as yesterday, but I made some good putts and I played pretty consistent, made a great par on 14," Masson said. "I hit it way left and had to chip out and hit it close and made the putt, so that was really nice to keep that momentum going, and I finished with a birdie, so overall, I think it's a great day."
