PSV secures Europa League place with win over NAC

Eindhoven, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - With Ajax having already wrapped up its fourth straight Eredivisie title, there was a little less drama on the final day of the season.

However, PSV Eindhoven secured its place in the Europa League for next season by claiming a 2-0 home win over NAC.

Memphis Depay's 16th-minute goal opened the scoring for the home side, while Jeffrey Bruma scored on the hour mark to double the lead and clinch fourth place for PSV, which will be joined in the Europa League next season by third- place Twente, which was held to a 2-2 draw by Zwolle thanks to a 71st-minute goal from Furdjel Narsingh.

Ajax closed out its title-winning season with a 2-2 draw against NEC to finish four points clear at the top of the league.

Bojan Krkic gave Ajax a 2-1 lead with seven minutes to play, but NEC equalized in the 88th minute through Alireza Jahanbakhsh's second goal of the match.

Feyenoord ends the season in second place after a 1-1 draw at AZ Alkmaar as the home side grabbed a goal in the 88th minute from Johann Berg Gudmundsson to cancel out a first-half tally from Feyenoord's Lex Immers.

Roda will be relegated despite a 1-0 win at Go Ahead Eagles through Davy De Beule's first-half goal, while RKC Waalwijk is headed for a relegation playoff after losing 3-0 to Heerenveen.
