Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Red Sox activated outfielder Shane Victorino from the 15-day disabled list and optioned pitcher Alex Wilson to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Victorino sat out the first 22 games of the season due to a strained right hamstring. He's in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Yankees at Fenway Park.

The 33-year-old veteran batted a career-best .294 with 15 homers and 61 runs batted in last season, his first with the Red Sox.
