Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Astros placed pitcher Scott Feldman on the 15-day disabled list Monday with bicep tendinitis.

The move is retroactive to Friday, one day after Feldman was tagged for five runs -- four earned -- on nine hits over six innings to take his first loss of the season in an eventual 5-1 setback against the Kansas City Royals.

The 31-year-old right-hander has gone 2-1 with a 1.69 earned run average over four starts this season.

Feldman was slated to start Tuesday in the middle contest of a three-game set against the Seattle Mariners, but will be replaced in the rotation by Collin McHugh, who will officially be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

McHugh has appeared in four games with two starts at Oklahoma City, posting a 4.50 ERA with eight strikeouts over 14 innings of work.
