Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff's Office released a mugshot of former NFL star quarterback Donovan McNabb Thursday in relation to a reported DUI arrest.
According to celebrity gossip website TMZ.com, McNabb was booked into the county jail on Wednesday and served a one-day sentence as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors after being pulled over last Dec. 15 for speeding and determined to be under the influence.
Public court records show McNabb received a criminal traffic citation in a case filed Jan. 6, though the exact nature of the charge is not specified.
McNabb, 37, last played in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings in 2011 and had most recently been working as a television analyst for the Fox Sports 1 network.
The No. 2 overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft, McNabb made six Pro Bowls during a successful 11-year stint with the Philadelphia Eagles and helped the franchise reach the NFC Championship Game five times during his tenure, including an appearance in Super Bowl XXXIX to conclude the 2004 campaign. He was traded to the Washington Redskins prior to the 2010 season and dealt to Minnesota the following year.
McNabb started 167 regular-season games and 16 postseason contests during his 13-year career, throwing for 37,276 yards with 234 touchdowns and 117 interceptions.
