Lambert throws 2 TDs, but injury-depleted offense struggles mightily in Virginia's spring game

Greyson Lambert threw two touchdown passes but he and the rest of Virginia's injury-depleted offense struggled in Saturday's spring game.

The Cavaliers split the team into Orange (offense) and Blue (defense) because of injuries, and the defense dominated. It registered four interceptions and nine sacks under the liberal rules that considered it a sack each time the quarterback was touched with the ball in his hands.

Lambert's first touchdown came on 22-yard pass to Andre Levrone. He hit Kyle Dockins from 16 yards with about two minutes to play.

Ian Frye kicked a pair of field goals, including a 48-yarder, and Alec Vozenilek missed a 54-yard attempt.

Five offensive linemen, top tailback Kevin Parks and top receiver Jake McGee, all sat out with injuries.
