South Carolina starting tight end Rory Anderson will miss the rest of spring workouts after injuring his triceps at a scrimmage Saturday.
South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said he was hopeful that Anderson wouldn't miss much workout time during the offseason, although he wasn't sure of the extent of the injury. Anderson will be evaluated to see if he has a complete or partial muscle tear.
Should it be a complete tear, Anderson's recovery could extend into the season.
Spurrier said Anderson injured the muscle trying to stiff arm a defender.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Anderson had 17 catches for 235 yards last fall. He played in 12 of 13 games last fall, starting nine of them. He has eight career TDs, although none in 2013.
