Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Fisher posted two goals and an assist as the Nashville Predators took a 5-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Friday night.

Nashville kept its fledgling playoff hopes alive, as the team has 79 points and sits seven points back of Phoenix, which lost a shootout to Edmonton on Friday, for the final wild-card spot with five games to play.

"We're going to try and keep winning here," said Wilson. "It is hard to say. Statistically it's not the greatest chance but you never know. If you go on a run at the end, you always want to be passing other teams. So we'll see what happens."

Colin Wilson scored twice, Patric Hornqvist gave a goal and two assists while Matt Cullen had three helpers for the Predators, who have won five of seven. Pekka Rinne stopped 27 shots in the win.

Kyle Palmieri and Daniel Winnik scored for the Ducks, who had a three-game winning streak stopped.

Jonas Hiller started and was pulled late in the first period, but was back on the ice for the third and stopped 13-of-17 shots. Frederik Andersen relieved Hiller in the first, but wasn't on the ice for the third as he appeared to be shaken up after getting hit in the mask with a shot and stopped 6-of-7 shots.

Anaheim holds a one-point lead over San Jose for first place in the Pacific Division and has a game in hand.

Nashville scored just 5:36 in when Wilson charged down the right wing and stuffed in his own rebound from in front for a 1-0 lead. It was a 2-0 game seven minutes later as Wilson backhanded the puck in from in front off a broken play for his 10th of the year.

Fisher's backhand stuffer from the right side at 13:52 made it a 3-0 game, but Anaheim got one back just over a minute later on Palmieri's one-timer from the right side.

"We can't let this happen. We have to find a way," said Anaheim head coach Bruce Boudreau. "Sometimes, for one reason or another, we're not getting the job done early. We're a really good team with the lead, but we just haven't had the lead lately."

The Predators got the goal back two minutes later and chased Hiller from the net after Cullen dumped the puck down the left boards and it bounced over to the right side where Hornqvist quickly backhanded it in.

Winnik scored at 3:18 of the second for a 4-2 game, but Fisher put in a rebound of a Shea Weber shot that hit off the mask of Andersen with four minutes left in the second period.

Rinne needed to stop just five shots in the third as Nashville skated out of the building with a win.
