Eugenie Bouchard won five of the final six games for a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 victory Friday over second-seeded Jelena Jankovic to reach the semifinals of the Family Circle Cup.
The 20-year-old Canadian played a strong opening set, but trailed Jankovic 2-1 in the decisive set. Then she won the next three games to take control and advance to the semifinal round for a second tournament this season and fifth time in her WTA career.
Jankovic reached the Family Circle semifinal in two of the past three years. As the highest-ranked player remaining in the field, she seemed a good bet for another.
Instead, the Serbian couldn't fight off the sixth-seeded Bouchard's late rally.
