Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Dynamo will aim to continue their perfect start to the season on Saturday when the club travels to BC Place to battle Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Houston had last weekend off, but are coming off a 1-0 victory over the Montreal Impact at BBVA Compass Stadium on March 15.

After scoring two goals in the season opener against New England, striker Will Bruin was at it again against Montreal as his goal in the 40th minute was enough to lift the Dynamo over the Impact.

Bruin continued his charmed start to the 2014 season, this time with some help from Montreal defender Eric Miller. Off a throw-in, Giles Barnes laid the ball off to his strike partner, and after settling it, Bruin pulled out his sand wedge to chip a ball off Miller's foot and over goalkeeper Troy Perkins but under the crossbar for the goal and a 1-0 lead.

"It's important to close a game out," said Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall. "1-0 wins are special because there's never a time you can let off anything. To kind of pass that test early in the season I think is going to help with momentum, help with confidence and help all over. Winning is a habit and we're creating good habits right now."

Vancouver, meanwhile, will be looking to maintain its early unbeaten start to the season after earning a road point in a scoreless draw against the New England Revolution last Saturday.

New England came out with more energy early on and took the play to Vancouver in the early stages, but Whitecaps goalkeeper David Ousted made several outstanding saves to keep the clean sheet.

New England had two free kicks and three corners in the first 10 minutes alone, but Vancouver managed to weather the early storm thanks largely to the play of Ousted.

The Dane's best save came in the fifth minute, when he acrobatically palmed away a near-post flick from Andy Dorman after Chris Tierney whipped in a dangerous corner. He also smothered a pair of decent strikes from Saer Sene and Diego Fagundez in the 20th and 33rd minutes respectively.

"It's a good point for us on the road," Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson said. "It's a difficult place to come and the conditions were difficult for both teams. We handled set-pieces very well and David (Ousted) made several outstanding saves."

"The guys in front of me did a great job today and had some important blocks," Ousted said. "They played really well. It was nice to get a clean sheet and get a point out of it."

In the sides' only meeting of the season last year, Houston came away with a 2-1 victory over Vancouver on March 23 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
