Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with free agent linebacker Shaun Phillips on Thursday.

The Tennessean reported the deal is worth $6 million, with $2.5 million guaranteed, over the next two seasons.

"Shaun is an athletic pass rusher, who has been a productive player his entire career," said Titans general manager Ruston Webster. "His flexibility is an asset as well -- being raised as a 3-4 linebacker and having success in as a 4-3 end last year. He will add to our mix of pass rushers and improves that group from a production and experience standpoint."

Phillips spent last season with the AFC champion Denver Broncos, totaling 35 tackles, 10 sacks and one interception in 16 games.

A native of Philadelphia and Purdue product, Phillips is a veteran of 152 games over 10 NFL seasons with San Diego and Denver. He has recorded 508 tackles and seven picks (two for TDs) along with 79 1/2 sacks.
