Lyon, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Lyon defender Miguel Lopes is set to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a fractured leg in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Guingamp.
Tests revealed the Portugal international has fractured his left tibia and he will undergo surgery on Tuesday, spending six weeks in a cast before beginning rehabilitation.
Lopes, 27, is on season-long loan from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon and may have played his final game in France since there are only eight weeks remaining in the Ligue 1 season.
Lopes has made 24 appearances across all competitions for Les Gones this season.
