Key Biscayne, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Li Na was an early winner Sunday in the third round of the Sony Open.

The second-seeded Li earned a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 victory over American Madison Keys in the opening match of the day. It was also her first match of the tournament, as the Australian Open champion received a walkover win in the second round when Alisa Kleybanova was unable to take the court on Friday because of a viral illness.

Li, a semifinalist last week at Indian Wells, will next face the winner between Carla Suarez Navarro and Kaia Kanepi in the fourth round.

Later today, third-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska will meet Russian Elena Vesnina. Radwanska was last week's runner-up at Indian Wells, falling to Italy's Flavia Pennetta in the final. Pennetta, who also took out Li last week, lost to Ana Ivanovic on Saturday.

Also today, Americans Venus Williams and Sloane Stephens will take the court in separate matches. Williams will meet Australian wild card Casey Dellacqua and Stephens will open the night session against Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki.

Dominika Cibulkova, this week's 10th seed and the Aussie Open runner-up, will take on France's Alize Cornet.

The 2014 Miami champ will collect $787,000.
