New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Eric Winston is the new president of the NFL Players Association.
Winston, a free-agent offensive tackle, was elected Wednesday at the NFLPA board of player representatives meeting.
The 30-year-old takes over for Domonique Foxworth, who was unanimously elected to the position in 2012.
Winston has served on the union's committees for finance and agent discipline and was a voice for players during the 2011 lockout.
The Miami-Florida product has started 112 consecutive games with Houston, Kansas City and Arizona.
