Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Toronto Raptors forward Patrick Patterson is expected to be sidelined for at least another week as a sprained ligament in his right elbow continues to heal.

Patterson hasn't played since March 7 when he aggravated the elbow injury. He was diagnosed with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament two days later.

The Raptors said Tuesday the injury is healing as anticipated. He will return to basketball activities over the next seven days with a brace and a decision for his return to game action will be made thereafter.

Patterson is averaging 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 56 games this season for Sacramento and Toronto. He has averaged 9.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in 39 games for the Raptors since being acquired from the Kings on Dec. 9.
