The Czech Republic says it is scheduled to host the United States in an exhibition game at Prague on Sept. 3 as a warmup for 2016 European Championship qualifying.

The governing body of Czech soccer announced the game Monday; the U.S. Soccer Federation has not yet confirmed the matchup.

The Czechs open qualifying against the Netherlands six days later.

Czech Republic coach Pavel Vrba said he chose to play the U.S. because of the team's attacking style under coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Vrba said "we will be tested by an offensive opponent who wants to attack. We expect from them a similar style as the Netherlands."
