Jackson, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Harold Jackson's first season as Jackson State's football coach has a home-field advantage.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference university announced a 12-game 2014 schedule on Sunday, including seven dates at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Jackson State will open the season by hosting Florida A&M (Aug. 30) and Virginia-Lynchburg (Sept. 6) in non-conference action.

Within the SWAC, the Tigers will host Grambling State (Sept. 20), Prairie View A&M (Oct. 4), Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 11), Southern (Oct. 25) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 1).

Jackson State will face Tennessee State in the 25th Annual Southern Heritage Classic on Sept. 13 in Memphis, Tenn.

The Tigers won the SWAC's East Division title last year and had an 8-4 record.
