New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Centers Tyler Seguin of Dallas, Artem Anisimov of Columbus and Adam Henrique of New Jersey have been selected as the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the period ending March 9.
Seguin was named the First Star after leading the NHL with nine points in four games last week. He posted four goals and five assists, including a five-point outing in a 6-1 win over Vancouver on March 6. Two nights later he added a goal and two assists, with the eight-point burst the most for a Stars player in a two-game span since Mike Modano in February 1993.
Anisimov garnered the Second Star honor thanks to a four-goal week that included a trio of game-winners. He has scored four winners in the team's last five games, starting on March 1 and continuing on March 3-4 before the streak was stopped, but he added another on March 8.
Henrique, meanwhile, was among the honorees for a second straight week thanks to a six-game goal streak. After picking up the Second Star last Monday, he was selected as the Third Star this time around after tallying a league-best five goals in just three games last week. His current run is just one shy of this season's league-best seven-game goal streak set by Anaheim's Corey Perry from Nov. 29 through Dec. 11.
