Javon McCrea scored a career-high 34 points, hitting 13 of 18 from the field, as Buffalo routed Bowling Green 88-65 on Saturday to clinch its first outright Mid-American Conference East Division title.

Buffalo (19-9, 13-5 Mid-American) went on an 18-3 run in the second half to extend a nine-point lead to 66-42 with less than 10 minutes to play. The Bulls led by double digits for the rest of the game.

Jarryn Skeete added 11 points and Joshua Freelove had 10 as Buffalo avenged a 74-68 loss on Feb. 2 to Bowling Green (12-19, 6-12). The Bulls have now won eight of their last 10.

Buffalo committed just five turnovers while forcing 16, which the Bulls converted into 25 points.

Cameron Black had 19 points for Bowling Green, which has now lost eight of its last 10.
