Peoria, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Mariners have signed 11 players to contracts for the 2014 season, including Jesus Montero.

The team announced the signings Thursday.

Once a red-hot prospect, Montero lost his starting catching job early last season, suffered an injury and was suspended 50 games in August after being linked to the Biogenesis PED scandal.

He played just 29 games with the Mariners and showed up to spring training 40 pounds overweight, according to the Seattle Times.

In addition to Montero, the Mariners also signed pitchers Erasmo Ramirez, Brandon Maurer and Lucas Luetge and infielder Brad Miller.

Pitchers Bobby LaFromboise, Hector Noesi, Stephen Pryor and Taijuan Walker, catcher Jesus Sucre and infielder Carlos Triunfel also received deals.

Financial terms of the deals were not released.
