Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson said he is "fine" after being struck in the head with a ball on Tuesday while throwing live batting practice.

Wilson was hit on the left side of his head but left the field under his own power before being taken for precautionary testing.

The 33-year-old left-hander shared good news on Twitter soon after the incident.

"Everything is fine, except that pitch I threw. Shoulda caught it ... lesson is to not pitch to contact! Haha," Wilson tweeted.

Wilson went 17-7 with a 3.39 earned run average in 33 starts for the Angels last season.
