Naples, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Kirk Triplett parred the 18th hole Sunday to close out a 6-under 66 and claim a 1-stroke victory at the ACE Group Classic.

Triplett entered the final hole on the Talon Course at The TwinEagles Club tied with Bernhard Langer and Duffy Waldorf for the lead, and watched his competitors both record bogeys to earn his third career win on the Champions Tour.

Triplett finished the tournament at 16-under-par 200, while Langer (67), Waldorf (66) and Olin Browne (66) ended a shot back at 15-under.

Jay Haas (64) captured fifth place at 12-under 204. Michael Allen (67) and Colin Montgomery (69) shared sixth at minus-10.

Triplett was the lone member of the group tied at 16-under to find the green with his second shot on the 18th, as Waldorf had to punch out of a bunker after an errant drive and Langer pulled his second into the rough to the left of the green.

Waldorf hit his third on the green well short of the pin before Langer chipped to about 15 feet past the hole.

After Waldorf 2-putted for bogey, Triplett failed to convert his first chance for the win when he rolled his birdie effort six feet past the hole.

Langer then had his par putt lip out off the right edge of the hole and tapped in for bogey, allowing Triplett to calmly convert his par putt to close out the win.

"That last hole is hard, it's really hard, especially where that pin is," said Triplett. "It still kind of surprises me how sudden it's over, because 18 holes of back and forth, back and forth either tied for the lead or in the lead, and then boom, it's over. It was real sudden and I'm thrilled to get the victory."

Langer and Triplett entered the final round tied for the lead at 10-under, but Triplett quickly pulled ahead with a birdie at the first.

Langer answered with a birdie at the second, and Waldorf followed a birdie at the first with a gain at the second to make it a three-way tie at 11-under.

Triplett then broke out of the group with an eagle at the third to claim the outright lead. Langer and Waldorf recorded birdies at the third to remain a shot back at 12-under.

After Triplett birdied the fourth and sixth around a bogey at the fifth to grab a 2-stroke lead, Waldorf eagled the sixth to meet him atop the leaderboard.

Triplett regained the outright lead with a birdie at the 12th and made it two in a row at the 13th to reach 16-under. Waldorf also birdied the 13th to stay within a shot of Triplett at minus-15.

Langer, meanwhile, countered a bogey at the fifth with birdies at the sixth, seventh, 13th and 15th to join Waldorf in second place at 15-under.

Waldorf then birdied the 16th and Langer birdied the 17th to make it a three- way tie for the lead entering the decisive 18th hole.

"Three-way tie, there's so many possibilities that can happen with two guys that can do it, so you just don't feel like you've made any headway," Waldorf said about the final round. "We were all shooting really good scores."

NOTES: Langer won this event in 2013 ... Triplett's last two victories came at the 2011 and 2012 Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach. He has now won an event in each of the last three years ... Waldorf also finished in second last week at the Allianz Championship, where lost in a playoff to Michael Allen ... With Jay Don Blake's share of 48th place, he surpassed the $10 million mark in career earnings.
