San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Antonio Spurs have announced that the team will hold All-Star point guard Tony Parker out of Wednesday's game at Boston for rest purposes.

Parker, who has been dealing with soreness in his lower back over the last week, returned to San Antonio following the Spurs' 109-100 loss at Detroit on Monday. The three-time NBA champion is expected to take part in Sunday's All- Star Game in New Orleans as one of the Western Conference reserves.

Center Tiago Splitter, who has missed San Antonio's last two games with a bruised right calf, will also not play on Wednesday. The Spurs are also currently without sixth man Manu Ginobili (hamstring) and forward Kawhi Leonard (broken finger).
